Why Give?

As a church community we participate in Jesus’ mission to the world. We have been abundantly blessed by God’s grace, mercy, forgiveness and love, and we are called to share our blessings with others. By giving financially we are participating in the ministries of our congregation, local and overseas ministries and the pastors, missionaries and staff who help these happen.

How to Give

There are at least two common themes related to giving in both the Old and New Testaments. Cheerful and proportional giving. Giving is an opportunity to shape our heart’s attitude towards God, others and ourselves. And so we see Paul’s encouragement to give according to our own heart, not because we are pressured, but because what we are giving, is what we want to give to God and His purposes. Both Old and New Testaments describe a set, intentional percentage of giving. Make a plan for how and how much you will give. Ask God what He says to you through a regular practice of giving.

E-transfers are available. There are no extra fees for this service. Please use the email: faithemc@rogers.com. If you are a first time donor, please give your mailing address in the message box if you want a tax receipt. Alternatively, giving through Canada Helps or PayPal provides a secure way to give on-line. Your donations are appreciated and will be used to participate in Jesus’ Kingdom work in Wasaga and around the world. Please fill out the form below to give your one-time or monthly donation. FAQ

Is my donation receipt-able?
Yes! All donations made directly to Faith EMC are 100% receipt-able. All donations over $3.00 through CanadaHelps are receiptable.

How do I get a tax receipt?
Donations through E-transfers, cash or cheque will be receipted in the new year by Faith EMC. Canada Helps tax receipts are issued to the donor’s email address at the time of the donation, unless you have a donor account and selected the “Send me a single receipt at the end of the year with all of my donations.” option. If you cannot find your tax receipt in your inbox, please make sure to check your spam folder.

If you still can’t find your tax receipt, you have a few options:

• If you have a CanadaHelps donor account, please log in to your account to access your tax receipts.

• You can use our tax receipt download tool by entering the email address you used when making your donation(s), and selecting the year during which they were processed. Your receipt(s) will be emailed directly to your inbox.

• If you still cannot find your receipts, or if you made a donation with an incorrect email address, please contact CanadaHelps. They can re-send all tax receipts that have been misplaced or not received.

How do I get a tax receipt for my monthly donations?
By default, no receipt will be issued for monthly donations before the start of a new year, when we automatically generate the receipts and send you an email so you can download it. There is no action required on your part to make this happen.

If, however, you require a tax receipt for donations made so far in the year, or are putting a stop to your donations and want a receipt right away, you can log into your donor account, access the “Donations & Receipts” tab, and click on the “Generate Receipt” button to create a tax receipt for all the donations without a receipt in your account.

What if I want to give by cash or cheque?
Please either put your money or cheque in the plate as it passed during any Sunday service. These can also be dropped off at the office during office hours. If you would like your donation on record (and be eligible for a tax receipt) please use an envelope found in the pew and include your name with middle initial (required) and address. Cheques can be made payable to Faith Evangelical Missionary Church Wasaga Beach.

How do I get my own offering envelopes?
Email the church to request offering envelopes or contact the office at 705-429-2059, we would be happy to get them for you!
