Generosity allows those who are in need to be blessed. But what blessing does God have in mind for those who give? What impact in the life of the giver does God see generosity having? These are some of the questions Jesus answers through the Parable of the Dishonest Steward.
Proportional Generosity
The church has constantly wrestled with the question of how much are followers of Jesus required to give by God. In this message we trace the biblical passages regarding tithing to try to answer this question. In the end we are called to give in proportion to what we receive. Generosity is not found in an amount, but in the proportion of what we spend and keep for ourselves compared to what we give for the sake of God and others.
Why Do We Call Him Lord?
Jesus doesn’t call us to just believe in Him, He calls us to follow Him. Following Jesus requires doing what he says.

Becoming like Jesus means putting off our sinful attitudes, behaviors & character (ABC’s) qualities as we also seek to put on the ABC’s of Jesus. Confession is a key spiritual discipline to help us put off sin while making room for us to put on the life of Christ.
Do You Want to be Well?
Most of us have good things we want to see in our lives, but struggle to find the energy, willpower and Discipline to follow through. This can include growing in our life as a follower of Jesus and living out the life we have been given. As individuals, and as a church, do we want to be well?
Change
Change is inevitable. change is not always bad, neither is it always good. Change is a challenge, resulting in transformation in the likeness of Jesus (eg 40 days between Christ’s resurrection and His accession). Peter and others went back to what they were accustomed to until Jesus appeared. Peter was changed. Transformation is the change in the inner man, not in outward behavior. It is progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him – to be continually transformed into His likeness (Phil 3:10).

Good News is Meant to be Shared
One can reason we can trust the resurrection of Jesus happened is because “nobody expected no body.” The resurrection of Jesus is such good news, how can we believe it and not be willing to share it with others.
